Diverse Women: 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

$20.00 $29.99

The artwork featured in this new 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle is by Rachael Sarra and is titled Diverse Women. It celebrates the energy flowing through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women of the past, through to the present, and bubbling towards future generations of tiddas (sisters).

In artist Rachael Sarra's words, it 'celebrates the strength, complexity and diversity of our women, while the harmonious contours acknowledge the caring and nurturing nature of our women'.

This is a more challenging puzzle for adults that will take between three and ten hours to create. The results will be well worth the effort, creating something worth framing for your wall, or to dismantle and create all over again.

Completed puzzle measurements are 685mm x 490mm.

About the artist

Rachael Sarra is an artist and designer whose work is an extension of her being and experiences. As a contemporary Aboriginal artist from Goreng Goreng country, Rachael uses art as a powerful tool in storytelling, to educate and share Aboriginal culture and its evolution. Rachael’s work often challenges and explores the themes of society's perception of what Aboriginal art and identity is. Her style is feminine, fun and engaging, yet is strongly drawn from her heritage and her role as an Aboriginal woman in a modern world. Rachael is fuelled by passion to continue exploring her Aboriginality through art and design, with each piece strengthening her identity.

Rachael also contributed to the illustration of the best selling children's book Our Home, Our Hearbeat, written by Adam Briggs and co-illustrated with Kate Moon.
