You'll discover just what makes each swimming spot unique, learn the best time to go, gain some useful local knowledge and find out the best things to see and do in the area.

With destinations ranging from the neighbourhood city pool to remote outback waterfalls, this book is a celebration of not just these magnificent swimming spots, but of the diverse landscapes and communities that make up Australia.

About the Author

Caroline Clements is a writer and editor from Melbourne. She was the founding editor of Australian digital publication Broadsheet and has worked on their book projects, Melbourne and Sydney editions of The Broadsheet Cookbook and the produce guide What to Eat and Where to Get it. She is also the Australian editor at global travel and lifestyle website A Hotel Life. In 2017, Caroline launched Places We Swim with Dillon Seitchik-Reardon, a project that explores Australian identity through the places we swim. They spent a year travelling Australia to research the associated book, and now live and work in Sydney. Places We Swim Sydney is their 2020 follow-up, with even more swimming locations and contributions from local guides.

Dillon Seitchik-Reardon is an environmental scientist, author, photographer and video producer originally from New Mexico, USA. In one way or another, his work is always about helping people return to nature. Dillon has worked extensively with the Little Veggie Patch Co. to encourage city dwellers to grow food, and has co-authored two books on the topic: DIY Garden Projects (2016) and Grow. Food. Anywhere (2017). He has now launched Places We Swim with Caroline Clements, and together they are exploring Australian identity through the places we swim. The associated book Places We Swim was released in 2018, with the follow-up Places We Swim Sydney released in 2020.
